HISTORY:
Joseph and Kate had been sweethearts during high school. Joseph Kelly married Kate Mackenzie in the summer of 1987. They had a child 8 months later; a little girl they named Abrielle. Two years later Kate came home from work to their small home in the suburbs of Phoenix and saw her husband in bed with another woman. They divorced shortly after and neither Kate nor Abrielle ever heard from him again. Paying for her mortgage and a two year old daughter was nearly impossible on a paycheck of an uneducated 20 year old woman. One day Kate received a letter in the mail. In it was the answer to their problems. Saint Michaels Boarding School for the Intellectually Gifted was offering to pay Kate 10,000 American to bring her daughter in to the school to run some tests. The letter said the tests had been performed on humans numerous times in the past and that they would have no long term effect on her daughter. Though the address was from the school, the stamp in the corner was from the White House. At first Kate threw it in the garbage, she would never even contemplating strange people doing “tests” on her daughter. But as the bills continued to roll in, and welfare was doing next to nothing, Kate decided to consider it. She took Abrielle in to the school 6 times in a year, and each time, Abrielle came back a little different. At first she was just quieter than normal. Kate ignored it at first because of the enormous checks she was receiving (10,000 per examination). But one day when Kate went to pick Abrielle up she saw stitches on the back of Abrielle’s head. She screamed at the doctor and when the Dr. Bryant attempted to restrain her, she ran with Abrielle in her arms and drove away, promising herself to never take her daughter there again. That night, Kate decides that the government might try to come after her and Abrielle and she decided to pack up and leave. Just as she and Abrielle are leaving, police arrive at the door. Kate is beaten and taken away in a squad car, and Abrielle is taken by Dr. Kingston. Abrielle lives in the boarding school for the next 12 years, never having any more “tests” and barely remembering her mother and her father not at all. She is told that her mother was a criminal who used to abuse her when she was a child. Abrielle is a smart young woman, with one of the highest GPA’s in the school, next to Ryance O’Driscoll. Ryance and Abrielle are rivals in every sense of the word. They both strive to be the best in school, and in sports.

Mother: Lauren Cassandre O’Driscoll (nee Laverty) (deceased)
Father: Jackson Robert William O’Driscoll II (age 51)

Place of Birth: Los Angeles, California
DOB: April 1, 1988
Lauren Laverty and Jackson O’Driscoll dated secretly for 4 years because Jack’s rich parents didn’t think Lauren was a “good person” for him because her family didn’t have a lot of money and his family was one of the most prestigious in California. In September, 1978 the pair eloped and Jackson’s parents were furious. They didn’t talk to him again until the day of his mother’s death. Two years after their marriage, Lauren and Jackson had a son; they named it Jackson Robert William O’Driscoll III. 5 years later the couple had another son, they named Ryance O’Driscoll. Ryance was an unexpected child and was often treated unfairly because of his brother. Ryance and Jack never got along because their parents tended to worship Jack, simply because he carried the famous family name and because he was the son they had originally wanted. Ryance, therefore, was often forgotten. When Ryance was young he showed much promise in intellectuals: he was very bright. Because of his intelligence, a letter was sent to the O’Driscolls inviting them to send Ryance to Saint Michael’s Boarding School for the Intellectually Gifted. They signed the letter and also the letter behind it, though they did not read the second letter because of the small print. They sent Ryance to Saint-Michael’s when he was 6 years old. When they tried to send Jack to the same school he was rejected because his I.Q. was not high enough. Ryance’s parents were furious and tried to take Ryance out of the school, but it was school policy that once a child was enrolled in a school that must have a 5 year trial period before you could revoke it. By the time the 5 years had rolled around, Mrs. and Mr. O’Driscoll had forgotten about the incident. What they didn’t know about the second sheet they signed was that they had unknowingly signed their son’s fate. In the letter was an explanation of voluntary experimentation to undergo Ryance, should they so choose it. Because Ryance’s parents neglected to read the fine print, almost immediately upon Ryance’s arrival at Saint Michael’s he was put into a lab room to be tested and experimented on like a lab rat. He sent letters to his parents but believed they wouldn’t care if he told them of the terrible things that happened to him. The tests continued for 2 years until finally he was told he no longer needed them. Soon he forgot he had ever gotten them, though the memories were still there, just buried. He grew into a fine young man, quite the ladies man actually. He was the star of the football team, the basketball team, and he had one of the highest GPA’s in the school. Next to Abrielle Kelly, of course. The pair were rivals in almost everything they did. More often then not they ended up competing against each other. Many students in the school saw them more as a couple who didn’t want to admit they liked each other than anything else.
